Top SUVs for 2010

If you are in the market for a new 2010 SUV, unless you have a specific make and model you have fallen in love with, you have a lot of homework ahead of you. You will certainly want to consider one of the top ranked SUV’s.

Even if you are on a strict budget you can take advantage of SUV’s in the different price ranges. One consideration is, of course, how much you want to spend. There are still a couple of top SUVs available for less than $20,000 and there are several available for more than $100,000.

Many reviewers consider the top five SUV’s for 2010, despite their price, to include the Chevrolet Equinox, the Volvo XC60, the Nissan Armada, the Lincoln MKX, and the Mercedes-Benz GLK-350.

2010 Chevy Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox is newly designed for 2010. It still offers a strong, solid performance. The standard is equipped with brake assist as well as antilock brakes. Other features include stability and traction control along with front seat and side curtain airbags as well as OnStar.

2010 Volvo XC60


The 2010 Volvo XC60 is a beautiful new entry. It is getting great reviews for its first year debut. It offers great performance and it is convenient, stylish, and safe. The interior matches the classy exterior styling. The safety features include rollover-sensing stability control as well as antilock brakes also with brake assist.

It offers front seat side and side curtain airbags. The mileage is around 18 miles to the gallon. The Volvo XC60 has a starting price tag of around $32,000.

2010 Nissan Armada

If you are a fan of Nissan the 2010 Armada might be your choice. It is equipped with seat-mounted side airbags along with new trim options. This is a full-size SUV with V8 performance.

It offers three rows of seats with a nice quality interior. It has a 5-star driver protection and a 4-star passenger protection rating in crash tests. The Nissan offers about 14 miles to the gallon and the price begins at a little more than $37,000.

2010 Lincoln MKX

It has front side and side curtain airbags. This crossover offers 18-19 miles per gallon and comes with a starting price of a little more than $38,000.

2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-350


Another luxury SUV is the 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-350. The standard engine is equipped with a V6. This model is new this year and the reviews are good. It received 4 and 5-star ratings on safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. The miles run between 16 to 22 miles to the gallon. The beginning price is just under $34,000.

The top SUV’s offer a variety of standard equipment along with sticker prices. There are many beautiful styles that offer outstanding performance. The problem is making a choice on which one to buy!
